Forging Identity: The Impact Youth and Young Adults Community

No Filters Required. You Belong Here.

“Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, you are welcome here.”

YOUNG ADULTS - Every Thursday Evening- Pull up a chair.

A weekly gathering for young adults — an hour of food and real conversation, then an hour digging into scripture and holding it up against the world we actually live in: the headlines, the money questions, the future we're all trying to figure out.

THE RUN OF THE EVENING

No lecture hall — a table. Food comes first because community isn't a warm-up act, it's part of the lesson.

Hour 1 — At the Table Everyone brings a piece of the meal. No agenda yet — just food, and catching each other up on the week.

Hour 2 — Word & World A chapter, taken seriously — then set next to what's actually happening: politics, media, money, the future. Old parable, present tense.

RECENTLY WITH YOUNG ADULTS Same shape, different ground covered — the lesson changes with what the week actually brought us.

WHY THIS SHAPE Ancient text, present  tense.

The Text First Every week starts in the actual chapter — not a topic in search of a verse. We read it the way it was meant to be read: closely.

Then the Parallel Politics, media, money, the future — we don't dodge the hard modern questions. We put the parable and the present side by side.

Never Alone Figuring out a career, a budget, a belief — it's easier at a table with people your age doing the same thing.

Bring a dish. Bring a question. First-timers eat before they have to talk. That's the whole point of hour one.

Middle School and High School are the battlegrounds for identity. We provide the mentorship, the community, and the truth students need to navigate these years with confidence.

“Whoever you are, wherever you’re from, you are welcome here.”

We know that being a teenager is complicated. You are figuring out your future, your friends, and your faith all at once. Impact Youth isn’t just a social club; it’s a launchpad for life.

We are open to EVERY student who has finished 5th grade through High School graduation. No background check on your faith required — just show up as you are.

The Weekly Reset — Wednesdays at 6:30 PM

Midweek is when the stress hits. Wednesday nights are designed to be the antidote. It’s a mix of high-energy fun and deep, grounding truth.

What to expect:

  • Dynamic environment — music and games that break down walls.
  • Real talk — Bible teaching that actually applies to teen life, not just old stories.
  • Small groups — the critical space where students connect with mentors and peers to process life.

The location rotation — important: we believe in being in the community, not just the church building.

  • 1st Wednesday of the month: Wheatland Middle School (APR Gym)
  • All other Wednesdays: Impact Ministries Church

Runs September through May.

Campus Impact: Youth Alive

Faith isn’t just for Sunday or Wednesday. Youth Alive is where students take ownership of their campus culture.

  • When: every Thursday during lunch hour
  • Where: Wheatland Middle School Library

This is a student-led initiative to share Jesus, offer support, and build positive relationships right in the middle of the school day.

The Need-to-Know

Does my student have to be religious to come?
Absolutely not. The majority of students who come are just looking for a place to hang out and belong. You don’t need to believe what we believe to be welcome here. Just show up.

What ages can attend?
Students who have completed 5th grade all the way through 12th grade. We have specific small groups broken down by age so Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers get content relevant to their stage of life.

Is there food?
Yes. We know teenagers run on snacks. We almost always have food or snacks available. Come hungry.

What if my student doesn’t know anyone?
We get it — walking into a new room is terrifying. Our adult leaders are trained to spot new faces and connect them with a buddy or invite them into a low-pressure conversation immediately. We don’t let anyone sit alone unless they want to.
